Mark Brenner

Mark W. Brenner is a band director at Paul D. Schreiber High School, Port Washington, Long Island, New York. Beginning his thirtieth year of teaching in public schools, he conducts the audition-level band and teaches the Advanced Placement Music Theory class. He directs the school’s 150-piece marching band, and has conducted the school’s jazz bands and pit orchestras.

Mark holds a B.A. from C.W. Post College, an M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook and a Professional Diploma in Educational Administration from CW Post College.

Throughout his career, Mark has been an active performer and conductor. For the past seven years, Mark has been director of the Port Washington Summer Community Band.

Mark is proud to have served as a member of the NYSBDA Executive Board for the past five years.
