Matthew Cremisio

Photo of Matt CremisioMatthew Cremisio holds degrees with completed course work from The Crane School of Music, The College of Saint Rose, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and The Eastman School of Music. Matthew has served on the Educational Advisory Board with the Pro-Mark Corporation, invited to join the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) National Drumset Education Committee and most recently appointed to the office of Vice-President with the International Association for Jazz Education New York State Chapter. As a performing artist and educator, Mr. Cremisio has written for Jazz Player Magazine, Warner Bros. Publications, and is sponsored by the Yamaha Corporation Of America, Pro-Mark Corporation and Sabian Cymbals. Currently, Mr. Cremisio is the Academic Administrator for Music at the Shenendehowa Central Schools District in Clifton Park, New York.

Clinic Title: Jazz Style and Articulation for the Rhythm Section and Developing Jazz Ensemble

Designed for non-rhythm section band directors, this session will demonstrate and provide instructional strategies for working with young Jazz Ensembles and rhythm sections. Continuing from last summer’s presentation, focus will be on basic fundamentals and concepts including style and articulation. Attendees are invited to bring along their wind instrument for group participation!
