David Hurd

Mr. Hurd received his B.S. in Education degree from SUNY Potsdam, Crane School of Music in 1970 and his M.A. in Education from Columbia University, Teachers’ College in 1973. Originally from Whitesboro, NY, he now resides in Mahwah, NJ after teaching in New Rochelle, NY at the Elementary level his first year and then in the Nanuet Public Schools for 37 years at the Middle and High School levels. He was also Director of Music in Nanuet for 12 years. He is retired but continues to perform as a trumpet player in the NYC area; most recently with the Ridgewood, NJ Concert Band which toured 5 cities in China this past summer.
