Our conducting clinic will be led this year by our Living Legend, Dr. Frank Ticheli. If you are interested in being considered to conduct during this session, please fill out the fields below by JANUARY 15, 2024. All efforts are made to choose conductors that represent a wide range of experiences. Anyone interested is encouraged to apply. The NYSBDA Symposium Conducting clinic is Sunday, March 3, 2024, 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m.
Each participant will be asked to conduct one of the following selections during the clinic:
Grainger: Irish Tune from County Derry
Persichetti: Divertimento, mvt 4 or 5
Ticheli: Amazing Grace
Ticheli: Joy Revisited
Ticheli: Cajun Folk Songs, mvt. 2 (Belle)
Applicants will be asked to provide a link to a video of you conducting at the end of this application. There is no required piece for the application. Whatever repertoire your ensemble is currently working on is sufficient for the application. PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE A WEB LINK AVAILABLE PRIOR TO STARTING THE FORM
